Zambia Transparency & Accountability Lab is a nonprofit organization based in Choma District, Zambia, dedicated to fostering good governance, transparency, and accountability across all sectors of society. We advocate for the principles of integrity and ethical governance by empowering citizens, promoting civic engagement, and ensuring public institutions and private entities operate with transparency and responsiveness.
Our Objectives:
Strengthen Transparency and Accountability:
Strengthen transparency and accountability mechanisms within public institutions and private entities to combat corruption and promote integrity in governance.
Promote Good Governance:
Advocate for the principles of good governance, including transparency, accountability, participation, and responsiveness at all levels of government and civil society.
Support the Rule of Law:
Advocate for the strict adherence to the rule of law, ensuring that laws are applied fairly and consistently, and that justice is accessible to all, particularly marginalized communities.
Empower Citizens:
Facilitate civic education and engagement to empower citizens, especially women and youth, to participate in governance processes, demand accountability, and hold leaders to account.
Monitor Public Services:
Monitor the delivery of public services, including health, education, and infrastructure, to ensure they meet the needs of citizens and are provided in a transparent and accountable manner.
Promote Social Justice:
Advocate for human rights, fairness, and equitable governance at all levels of society.
Build Partnerships:
Collaborate with government agencies, civil society organizations, international partners, and the private sector to foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and good governance in Zambia.
