Transparency & Accountability Lab Participates in Stakeholder Engagement on Civic Participation Project:

On 20th May 2025, Transparency & Accountability Lab was pleased to participate in a Stakeholder Engagement Meeting organized by MISA Zambia at Byta FM, under the Enhancing Citizens’ Voices and Participation in Governance Processes Project. The initiative is supported by ActionAid Zambia with funding from the Swedish Development Agency (SIDA).

The meeting aimed to introduce the project and engage key stakeholders in promoting inclusive civic participation. The meeting brought together Civil Society and Community-based Organizations to explore ways of fostering collaboration in strengthening citizen participation in governance and development processes.

Discussions focused on building inclusive platforms for dialogue between duty bearers and rights holders, with attention to the voices of women, youth, and persons with disabilities.

As an organization committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen participation, Transparency & Accountability Lab welcomed this timely platform for dialogue. Our team contributed insights on existing gaps in community engagement and shared recommendations for building inclusive mechanisms that empower marginalized voices in governance.

We commend MISA Zambia for convening this important discussion and look forward to continued collaboration in strengthening civic participation and accountability frameworks across Zambia.
